Simply Music is the largest playing-based music education institution in the world. Founded by Australian Educator Neil Moore, Simply Music has grown into a worldwide organization dedicated to developing innovative programs that promise a world where everyone plays.
The stated goal of Simply Music is “To maximize the likelihood of students acquiring and retaining music as a lifelong companion.”
From the very beginning, we temporarily delay the music-reading process, instead focusing on developing a 'hands-on’ relationship with the instrument and building the student’s playing skills.
Students of all ages - adults, kids, teens and seniors- learn to play a huge range of great-sounding music that includes blues and jazz, classical, popular and accompaniment pieces.
Typically after a year of lessons, when the student has built a substantial repertoire of 35-50 pieces, music reading begins to be added to the student's skill set.
